Flexibility for future growth

The challenge was to design a phased expandable new church facility for a growing congregation that was moving from a rented public school space into their own building for the first time.

Complete new church facilities built on a 10 acre site. The new facility was designed to make the most of space and resources, while maintaining quality. A portion of the work was done by volunteers. The facility also needed to have the flexibility to be expandable in the future. The structure is wood frame construction with a siding, glass and stone veneer exterior.

The building interior features a cafe in the lobby, stained concrete floors, and exposed structure for the ceiling in the worship center. The project includes a 270 seat sanctuary with theatrical seating that can be expanded to 540 seats, lobby/gathering space, cafe, offices, classrooms, kitchen, restrooms, and a 3750 square foot multi-purpose room.

Project Scope

16,250 square feet of new space | Total Cost: $1,800,000 | Completed 2013
