Educational opportunities on a new urban campus in the heart of a major South American city

A facility that includes 5 floors encompassing classrooms, administrative offices, a gymnasium, a library, labs, a cafeteria and a kitchen. Designed to assist and reinforce the group of working professionals who are motivated to provide a Christian education to underprivileged kids. This is in a city where tens of thousands of children will never have an opportunity to learn life skills or become effective Christians without this effort.

Covered Concourses

Inventive covered concourses have been added to each level. They are designed as spaces for the students to go between classes. Enabling them to be outside as well as protected from the heat of the sun.

Rooftop Activity Space

The roof was designed to be used from the beginning as an gymnasium activity space with a high fence around it. The hot sun became an issue here as well so a roof was designed to cover it. It is open on all sides and enclosed with a decorative fence.

From Latin American missionary partner Mike Shields:

"A dream is becoming reality as a series of miracles opens the doors for the Liceo Cristiano. Through the remarkable acquisition of property previously thought unattainable, plans for phase one construction are being completed. A new school with the eventual capacity for 2,500 students is on its way in Guayaquil.

This visionary ministry couples a commitment to Christ with the practical elements of a Christian education in the context of community service. Young people who show promise will be able to develop their skills and aptitudes under the guidance of a dedicated staff of Christian teachers in this new facility. Families who otherwise would have no hope of providing an education for their kids will be given the chance of a lifetime. Providing Christian education and life skills training has a greater impact on a society than any other effort.

“The new Liceo Cristiano is a forward-thinking, fast-adapting, and culturally relevant answer to the challenges in Latin America…one life at a time."
