A warm welcome for all
Atrium Post Acute Care (formerly Knapp Haven Nursing Home) is a rural community skilled care nursing facility that had been built and expanded several times with little thought or expense put into the look and feel of either the exterior or the interior. Dennis Batty & Associates was hired to give the building both an interior and exterior facelift and a new commercial kitchen.
Phase 1
The first phase project expands the main dining room and replaces the existing undersized kitchen with a completely new state-of-the-art commercial food service area. A new staff lounge, resident lounge, conference room and garage are also part of the first phase as is the extensive remodeling of existing corridors and restrooms.
Phase 2
The second phase will add a new main entrance, lobby and administrative offices to the front of the building, providing a completely new, updated look.
Project Scope
5,000 square feet of new space. 6,600 square feet of remodeled space. Completed 2010.
5,500 square feet proposed for phase two.
