450 seat Sanctuary, a fellowship hall/gymnasium with a stage, classrooms and offices
|

|
The congregation sought a new facility that was both a welcoming and functional space for their multi-faceted ministry approach. The sanctuary is a beautiful, comfortable space that affords intimacy between all seating and the large front platform as well as excellent acoustics. A unique feature of the sanctuary is an additional performance area adjacent to the platform that hosts a bell choir. The sanctuary also includes a new pipe organ. The classrooms used by children were designed to be interactive with "writeable" walls. One of the design challenges with this project was to take maximum advantage of their long and narrow site as well as blend the building visually into a residential neighborhood.
